This is where the stories behind the stories live. The voices that wouldn’t stay quiet. The playlists I wrote to. The scenes that didn’t make it and the ones that almost broke me to finish.
I started in the heat — short, unapologetic, and built on desire. Rick and Gianna. Ruby and Blake. Stories about people who want each other badly enough to stop pretending they don’t.
Then Noah showed up and refused to be anything other than what he was.
Seen Once. Mine Forever. is where the darkness got quieter and heavier. Less fire, more permanence. It was my first full-length novel and now it’s out there in the world. But not out of my head. Or, at least, Noah Esposito has taken up permanent residence in my mind. Evicting him is harder than I thought.
I write across the spectrum because that’s where I live. Sometimes it’s soft. Sometimes it’s sharp. Sometimes it’s both at once. If it gets too dark, Piper drags me out to go play her favorite game of ‘human throws ball once, I shred it to death’.
Stay in the dark,
— Marrin 🖤
